T-Pain and Mark Zuckerberg remaking an acoustic version of “Get Low.”
One of this year’s most unexpected collaborations is T-Pain teaming up with Mark Zuckerberg to remake an acoustic version of Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s “Get Low.” The track—now officially released on streaming platforms—features Zuckerberg leading most of the vocals, while T-Pain adds ad-libs, backing vocals, and a verse.
Originally, the single was released in 2002 as the third track from Lil Jon & the East Side Boyz’s album, Kings of Crunk. Now, it’s back in the public eye, thanks to the unlikely collaboration between Zuckerberg and T-Pain, whose connection has developed over the past few years. In fact, Zuckerberg even appeared in one of T-Pain’s Instagram livestreams in May 2021.
What led to this unexpected partnership, you may ask? Zuckerberg explained on Instagram: “‘Get Low’ was playing when I first met Priscilla at a college party, so every year we listen to it on our dating anniversary.” He added, “This year, I worked with @tpain on our own version of this lyrical masterpiece. Sound on for the track, which is also available on Spotify. Love you, P ❤️”
