Ozzy Osbourne, the legendary singer and former Black Sabbath frontman, has died at the age of 76.
His family shared the news in a statement: “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning.

He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family privacy at this time.” He passed away on July 22, 2025, in Birmingham, England, after dealing with several health issues, including Parkinson’s disease and a spinal injury. Born John Michael Osbourne on December 3, 1948, Ozzy became famous in the 1970s as the lead singer of Black Sabbath.The band helped shape heavy metal music, and Ozzy’s voice and style made him one of the most recognizable figures in rock.He became known as the “Prince of Darkness.”
After leaving Black Sabbath in 1979, Ozzy had a successful solo career with albums like Blizzard of Ozz, featuring hits such as Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley. In the 2000s, he reached new audiences through the MTV reality show The Osbournes.
Despite his health problems, Ozzy continued making music and stayed connected to his fans.He is survived by his wife Sharon and their children Aimee, Kelly, and Jack.
